A well balanced zinfandel with hints of sweet vanilla to match the rich fruit and tannic backbone. It's a lip-smacking, energetic Zinfandel that just begs for brisket, pulled pork sliders, or or anything that's hearty and full flavored. All clocking in at an almost-unheard-of 13.8% abv. The "High Rock Ranch" vineyard sits at 2000 feet elevation with an expansive view of the Sonoma coastline. Much of the work is done by hand due to the severe slopes of the vineyard. With Chris's deft touch it shows a fair bit of aromatic fruit and wonderfully classic "Zinny" tannin structure, with bright blue fruit, a touch of sweet herbs, anise, and a cinnamon-mocha finish from the judicious 25% French oak it sees.
